Last night I had the pleasure of being a guest on Newstalk1010 radio station to discuss a recent article i published on Huffington Post - Your Kids Have Probably Seen Porn. Here's What You Need To Know.
Barb DiGiulio wanted to understand more about the impacts of pornography on the brain, particularly of young, developing minds. The article quotes a study from Australia that involved MRI scans of 64 men as they were exposed to porn. The study draws a correlation between porn use and a decrease in grey matter.
However, as the study authors themselves point out, they can not say if the consumption causes the damage, or whether there is another reason for the findings.
What is certain though in our opinion is that pornography is setting unrealistic expectations about what a 'normal' sexual relationship is. Read more here in our previous article on the subject.
You can listen to Barb's full show from last night using the SoundCloud player below - I am on 1 hour in, just after the news and traffic.
